As an organization serving the youth ages 12-18, it was an honour when asked to partner with our local credit union and their desire to ensure children in our local communities had a warm jacket for the winter.
There are times families may find themselves in a tight restraint, and it is just amazing to see Eagle River Credit Union reaching out to lend a helping hand. There is no better feeling then knowing you are able to help someone, I have often heard the saying,“It is better to give then to receive”.
A huge thank you to all of those who made it possible. The recipients of the warm jackets are extremely thankful.

Southern Labrador Family Centres will be appreciating Eagle River Credit Union a little extra this Christmas when local children will be bundled warm for the chilly holiday weather.
It warms our hearts to know that the children receiving a brand-new winter coat will not have to think twice about going outside to play during the cold temperatures known to the South Coast of Labrador.
Each family genuinely acknowledges the hard work and dedication put into this amazing Program – Warm Coats for Kids – and will always remember just how much effort was put into it to keep our children cozy and warm.

The Northern Peninsula Family Resource Centre is so pleased that Eagle River Credit Union reached out to our organization to partner with them in this wonderful initiative.
The “Warm Coats for Kids” Program is beyond remarkable. Children will receive a warm winter jacket thanks to the wonderful contribution and act of kindness of the Credit Union.
It is so rewarding to know that the Credit Union cares for others, is so giving, and is ensuring that no child be without a warm jacket this winter.
On behalf of the Family Resource Centre Board of Directors and Staff, we sincerely thank you for this opportunity to be a part of this incredible Program.
We look forward to working with you in the near future.

The contribution you have made back to the community and the investment in our most valuable resource, our children, highlights the type of organization you are.

We are very grateful to our partners at the Eagle River Credit Union for their donation of 80 brand new winter coats for children and youth. In previous years coats for children and youth has been an area where the demand had be much great then the supply. The donation from the Eagle River Credit Union enable us to meet the demand in our area and still have coats to send to other regions of Labrador. The majority of the coats has been distributed in the Upper Lake Melville Area but coats have also been sent to communities on the North and South Coats of Labrador. These coats have helped meet the very basic need of winter clothing but also have been a means of Christmas cheer by also providing extra Christmas gifts for many low income families.

The Deer Lake Salvation Army Community Family Services is quite pleased to have been included in the wonderful program ‘Warm Coats for Kids’ through Eagle River Credit Union.
Because of your willingness to give to others, 15 school age children in our area will be the recipient of a brand-new winter coat. It is very rewarding to know that those children will be “warm” this winter because of the kindness and generosity from your organization.
The Deer Lake Salvation Army Community Family Services would sincerely like to offer our thanks for allowing us to be a part of such an amazing initiative.
